Not actually with something random, but the the concept of what is random itself.
Random, for me, is just a very fast changing of patterns.
I think random is chaos, but no matter how chatioc, you can subdivide it so many times, that you'll find patterns in it. Therefore, chaos is only highly different patterns concatenated in a way that, looking from afar, is de-organized.
An example: looking my dog from afar, when it runs, I cannot understand the legs of it... All I see is a chaotic blurr. So I gave it a reason to run while my sister recorded from another angle. I watched the video step by step, thus dividing the chaos in various moments. Guess what? As I watched it's legs moving frame by frame, that total chaos made total sense.
So, my dog looks random when running if I'm not watching step by step on a pre-recorded video.
Thus, random is just a question of viewpoint as, for you in your current position, in your current viewpoint, something is truly random. But through someone else's eyes, it's not random, maybe expected and even natural. THERE IS order in chaos. It's crazy, but there is still method in it. Anything random have an explanation and, depend how you understand the word motivation, has a motivation. For example:
Although I don't sex them, I like hookers. They're easy to talk to.
